For Louise Jonasson – marketing coordinator of major sponsor, Getaway Outdoors –Fairbridge Festival has become an annual pilgrimage. She never imagined that she would be mixing her work with a music festival, but after four years, she is still attending and running Cosy Camping and the Getaway Outdoors festival shop.
While setting up and running Cosy Camping requires Louise to work like a Trojan all weekend, she relishes the opportunity the festival presents for an enjoyable experience with family and friends – and many memorable moments have already been made.
Beyond her personal experience, Louise has involved her co-workers to create an invaluable team-bonding experience. Over the years, their children too, have grown and experienced the festival together to build lasting friendships.
Louise’s favourite part of the festival is the freedom, specifically the freedom her kids have experienced. The festival has put her mind at ease in ensuring her kids are safe.
“We want to experience things as a family and this is truly a family-friendly event,” she said.
“My kids can safely roam around the festival precinct while learning the value of having their own freedom and to be trusted.”
