Off the main drag and in the woods behind Nightingale Cottage, Backlot is a festival within a festival. Here you’ll find our youth program for ages 13+, a delightful medley of inspired music, crafty crafts and hands-on workshops. Backlot is home to the Teen Youth Arts Space and the Seedbox a chill-out zone.
Located at the top of Market Street and adjacent to the catering area, Chapel is a hallowed place of musical worship. This beautiful acoustic venue is ideal for vocal and intimate music concerts. The adjoining lawns are set up for fun activities for all ages and provide a great place to relax.
A beloved venue of history and memory, the Clubhouse is the home of intimate concerts with an emphasis on traditional music and special musical presentations, including Fairbridge Exclusives. The Village Museum can be found in the East Wing. The Clubhouse Kitchen is the home of the Good Food for Cool Dudes cooking sessions.
Located in the west wing of the Clubhouse building, Club West houses our workshop program. From Friday afternoon, right throughout Saturday and Sunday, come along to enjoy festival artists revealing the tricks of their trade.
Situated behind the Chapel, Djindalux, Noongar (Djinda) and Latin (Lux), is our star attraction! A truly unique venue that imbues performances with an atmosphere of pure magic. You can’t miss out on the Djindalux experience! The name is a fusion of two ancient languages, Noongar and Latin and translates as starlight.
Centrally located opposite Mandja and the catering area, Gus’s Bar is a Fairbridge institution and absolute festival favourite. This is where you meet up with friends old and new and rub shoulders with artists! This year we feature a new selection of beers (including our favorite Guinness), plus we now take cash AND card.
Located on the basketball court near the west end of the festival precinct, Hoopla hosts dance displays and workshops during the day and some serious grooving at night! Put your dancing shoes on and head to Hoopla for an energetic and enlivening experience!
Provides all day entertainment for the younger ones (Mums and Dads too!). Find us east of Clubhouse (museum end) and behind the swimming pool.
Upstairs at the Clubhouse, the Loft is home to Playback Theatre during the day. The entrance to this small and intimate venue is located across from Victor’s Garden Bar. There is strictly no food or drink allowed and please leave your shoes at the door.
Opposite Gus’s Bar and near the catering area, Mandja (Noongar for meeting place) is our main concert venue and home to spectacular live music shows. Head here for the large-scale festival moments, combined concerts and spectacular evening shows.
Paper Scissors Rock
Located under the trees opposite Kaleidoscope, this space offers hands on art and creative workshops for children of all ages.
The much-loved Ruby’s is a licensed and seated venue tucked in behind Fairbridge House and adjacent to Victor’s Garden Bar. A popular venue to sit, relax, and enjoy a drink with the music. While it is an informal venue, we ask that audiences to keep noise to a minimum during the performances.
From the sidelines of the Hoopla Stage, you can check out all the moves.
Our newest addition to the festival, located at Artist Central, the Peacock Bar is a late night session and impromptu jamming space. Like the peacocks that inhabit the vicinity, the raucous and the beautiful combine in a lively and colorful expression.
Victor’s Garden Bar
Nestled on the west side of Ruby’s, Victor’s Garden Bar is a popular spot to enjoy a drink and bask in the sounds of Fairbridge Festival. Named for iconic sound engineer Victor O’Connor who is sadly missed, but will always be remembered. Visit Victor’s Garden Bar for a relaxed drink and chat.
