Place: Cambridge Bowling Club, 39 Chandler Avenue W, Floreat (opposite Floreat Forum)

Arrival: Please arrive from 2:30pm to allow sufficient time to meet all requirements for the registration of attendees. Late arrivals may not be permitted into the meeting room once proceedings have commenced. Please bring photo ID.

Non-Member Attendance: Non-members are permitted to attend for ‘observation only’. Any non-member attending MUST vacate the meeting room at the commencement of voting proceedings.

• accept the annual report
• accept the auditor’s report
• accept the annual financial statements
• appoint and pay an auditor
• elect the following board member positions:

• four (4) Ordinary Board positions (two and one year terms)

Membership Policy

During 2022 , the Board undertook a review of the FolkWorld membership model. It began with Emma Bradstock, Secretary at the time, then was followed up with two ‘working group meetings held for interested members to consider how the membership model could be improved. As a result, the Board will present three motions to the AGM to: (a) approve the introduction of a new class of non-voting membership; (b) endorse the introduction of membership fees; and (c) endorse proposed changes to the Constitution to make it easier for non-voting members to join. A summary of the motions and a detailed discussion paper are being provided for members’ review (via the links below) prior to the AGM. Please consider these and any questions you may have for discussion at the AGM.

The 2021-2022 Annual Report will be available at the AGM.

Liz Houlton has been appointed as Returning Officer. The meeting will be available to join remotely with the link being made available on our website prior. Please also note that if you intend to join the meeting remotely, and wish to cast a vote, you will need to appoint a proxy (see above for form), who is attending in person, to vote on your behalf. Voting via the remote platform will not be accepted.

FolkWorld endeavours to maintain members’ contact details, however it is the individual’s responsibility to provide updates and to check their membership status.

The FolkWorld Inc. Board is continually checking our processes and seeking feedback to help identify improvement opportunities. Our membership is key to our ongoing success and your input at the AGM and throughout the year is greatly appreciated.
