Join us for the 2022 Act Belong Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest Youth Songwriting Competition final to be held on Sunday 8th May in the ornate Edith Spiegeltent on the ECU Mt Lawley campus where WAAPA students hone their craft.

Witness 12 young songwriters battle it out in the final for a chance to win a performance slot at Fairbridge Festival 2023, a day in the studio at Elemental Sound, a professional photoshoot with Tashi Hall, as well as plenty of other amazing opportunities!

There will also be special guest performances on the night from Quest patron Lachy John and Helen Shanahan.

The Quest is WA’s most favourite youth songwriting competition. It’s been running for over 10 years and has helped kickstart the music careers of many local musicians including Jack Davies, Siobhan Cotchin, Brooke Bugeja and Sofia Hourani, to name a few.

The final will be judged by three music industry professionals who have the difficult task of choosing two winners in two categories: Song Craft and Song Performance in two age groups: 12-15 years and 16-18 years. This years judges include Rose Parker (singer/songwriter, Vinnie Crea (WAAPA) and Em Burrows (WAM).

The finalists will be announced soon. Limited tickets on sale now from $15 to $20.
