The irrepressible Steve Hensby hops up next in duo mode. Humour, talent and gorgeous vocals from Elysia, all combined into one lovely set.
Niq Reefman is a great blend of vaudeville, off-beat humour and whimsy. Playing accordion and trumpet simultaneously is just one of numerous party tricks in his bag of musical goodies.
What do you get when you combine vivacious jazz vocals, hard-bitten country blues guitar and scintillating pedal steel…you get Barrelhouse Blues that’s what! Jessie Gordon, Bill Lawrie and Lucky Oceans bring you a blues/hokum gumbo of classic tunes. Yum!
Next up and sure to create a buzz like they always do are Berlins, The Beez. Where to start on this…it’s a pop-up cabaret music shop, anything can happen and probably will.
And just when you thought it was safe, Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan walk on stage! It’s an Einstein, Dr Seuss, Paganini minestrone of madness. Its…well it’s Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan!
Grand Remedy bring us back to some sense of normality with rousing Irish tunes and songs played by three of WA’s great acoustic musicians. Expect some impromptu Irish dancing and all the energy that comes when Fiona Rea, Jon Edwards and Brett Hardwick lock in.
We close it with the Spaniards! Sounds ominous….it is! El Pony Pisador will have you beaming within seconds of taking the stage. Infectious, shanty and bluegrassy sea songs (does that make it seagrass?), masterfully sung and played.
