The Mejadra Project is the result of a year-long collaboration between percussionist Imogen Thomson and pianist Austin Salisbury. Their original compositions bring together their unique musical backgrounds in a melting pot of modern Jazz and Afro-Cuban inspired grooves. To record the music, they enlisted the help of local legends Alex Reid on drums, Jeremy Thomson on guitar and Alistair Peel on acoustic bass.
