Scott Wise
Luthier Scott Wise brings his experience of building over 750 instruments to his presentation “How Acoustic Guitars Work” . A musician since 1968, Scott will also play a solo set of some of his original songs on some of the presentation instruments.

Internationally recognised luthier Scott Wise has been performing and composing in various musical genres since 1968, when he won the UWA folk club talent quest with his old friend Robert Searls. Mainly an ensemble player, Scott has played with many well-known WA bands over the years since and has seldom played solo performances, so this year’s Fairbridge Festival is a special event for him. An intense lifetime preoccupation with stringed instrument design and construction has led to his presentation “How Acoustic Guitars Work” which he hopes will provide some valuable background to players and enthusiasts.
