Rooted in the North-East traditions of Scotland and now thriving in the heart of Western Australia, this collective brings the authentic, exhilarating energy of a traditional “stramash”—a glorious musical commotion that welcomes all. One of the most special aspects of Scottish Stramash is its inclusivity. Musicians of every level, from pure beginners finding their feet to enthusiastic buddies eager to share their passion, are warmly invited to join in. Every session is an open door to experience, learn, and celebrate together, ensuring that everyone, regardless of skill, can be part of the music and camaraderie. Led by fiddlers Fiona and Linda the group delivers a masterclass in Scottish music. Their sound is marked by driving Strathspeys, lightning-fast Reels, and hauntingly beautiful Jigs, all played with the technical skill of heritage musicians.
