When Bayley’s Star Gleamed Bright. In 1892, 36-year-old prospector, William Ford, picked up a half ounce gold nugget on a grassy area that was later to be known as Coolgardie’s FLY FLAT. Together with his 26 Year old prospecting partner Arthur Bayley, they awakened a sleeping giant which was to become the WA Eastern Goldfields. The effect this had on both Western Australia, and indeed Australia, was profound. Join with us through Song, Story, Verse and Images, on our rollicking tale of the people of the Eastern Goldfields, who lived, worked and passed into history.
